关于大西洋革命战纪地图的命名问题，地图设定的宏观世界背景是在1775-1830年的55年间，也就是说地图中所有不同的剧情线上的最早的起点也无非是北美独立战争，不会有更早的如1760年代的七年战争的内容；接着各国剧情线交织穿梭共同演绎，途经法国大革命和拿破仑战争的时代，并以滑铁卢之战为一个休止符，在此将会有多条剧情线宣告结束，但并非所有剧情线都如此；地图真正的剧情终点是1830年南美独立战争的结束，也就是地图里所有文字内容基本不会有晚于1830年的内容。地图剧情重点阶段是法国大革命及拿破仑战争这段核心时期。

These four major events around the Atlantic Ocean (North American Independence, French Revolution, Napoleonic Wars, and South American Independence) are known in Western history as the Age of Atlantic Revolutions, an important era following the Age of Enlightenment in the 17th and 18th centuries, which has a very strong name in English: "Atlantic Revolutions Era ", the word Era is omitted from time to time. The word Era is often omitted. Westerners are generally aware of several movements represented by this word: the North American Independence, the French Revolution, and the South American Independence. Therefore, the name of the English version of the map was determined early on to be consistent with "Atlantic Revolutions", both in terms of normality and ease of understanding. The real problem is not the "war era", but the five words "Atlantic Revolution". The country is generally aware of the events related to the French Revolution and the independence of North America, but when the word "Atlantic Revolution" is really used, it can be a puzzling and unbelievable situation: What is the Atlantic Revolution? The industrial revolution or the bourgeois revolution? Which year was the revolution? All these doubts will certainly aggravate the players' reasonable doubts about the map's background chronology, and eventually lead to the fact that even after the players figure out the real background chronology of the map, they will still not have the first impression of the map's history because of the doubts brought by the previous title,and subjectively judge the ambiguity of the background age of the map.
因此正式决定给予地图一个更适合中文语境的命名。第一，这个命名需要更加地通俗易懂、更能消除歧义、更能体现出地图所处的年代为18世纪后期至19世纪早期这一被称作大西洋革命时代的时期。第二，富有强烈表现力和感染力，甚至是带有夸张色彩想象力，只要不离题，令人印象越深刻越好、命名越醒目越好。第三，字数不能太长。第四，要有创新，最好能结合英雄无敌的一些元素。第五，不能出现容易与官方地图混淆的命名，如战争与和平这个名字，其实这部文学广为人知，很容易让人联系到那个时代，但这个名字放在英雄无敌的地图堆里会跟许多官图像什么“和平的希望”等免显得几分雷同。
Therefore, it was formally decided to give the map a more appropriate name for the Chinese context. First, the name needed to be more accessible, more disambiguous, and more reflective of the period between the late 18th and early 19th centuries, known as the Age of the Atlantic Revolution. Second, it should be highly expressive and compelling, even with an exaggerated imagination, as long as it is not off-topic, and the more impressive and eye-catching the name, the better. Third, the number of words should not be too long. Fourthly, it should be innovative, and it is better to combine some elements of Homm3. Fifth, the name should not be easily confused with the official map, such as the name of War and Peace, in fact, this literature is widely known, it is easy for people to relate to that era, but this name will be placed in the map of Homm3 and many official images such as "Hope for Peace", etc. will look a bit similar.
综上几条都统筹考虑进去后，最终形成一个理想的新构中文名。一旦形成后，原地图的名称组就变为“‘Atlantic Revolutions’大西洋革命战纪，又名XXXXX”（XXXXX即为新构中文名）。
After taking all of the above into account, an ideal new Chinese name was finally formed. Once formed, the original map name group will become "'Atlantic Revolutions', also known as XXXXX" (XXXXX is the new Chinese name).
